Now, after Briscoe’s tragic passing, Adam Cole penned an emotional tribute to his recently departed friend.
The death of Jay Briscoe has come as a shock to the wrestling community. Known as one half of the iconic Briscoe Brothers tag team, Briscoe passed away in a fatal car accident on Tuesday. He was only 38-years-old at the time of his passing, leaving the wrestling world to process and mourn this loss.
Adam Cole and Jay Briscoe squared off against each other numerous times in Ring Of Honor. This includes their all-time classic bout at Final Battle 2014, among others.
The former ROH World Champion took to Twitter and reacted to the tragic death of his longtime friend. In an emotional post, Cole made it clear that Jay Briscoe meant the world to him and will forever love him.
I don’t know what my life would be like without Jay Briscoe in it, and I don’t want to know. You believed in me, you helped me, you treated me like family. There will never be another like you. I am so grateful to have known a man like you. I love you Jay.
