WWE has a lot of options as WrestleMania 39 approaches. April 1st and 2nd will be huge shows at SoFi Stadium, and WWE had plenty of options. John Cena has not made any headway toward the show of shows yet, but it seems that WWE still has a plan for him.
Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE’s card for WrestleMania is decided on. That means fans might expect a few matches to come out early, and it appears that is happening already.
We previously noted that John Cena filmed some sort of extra material when he made his WWE return on the December 30th episode of SmackDown. It was reported that Austin Theory was a part of that filming as well. While we don’t know exactly what they did, WrestleMania looks to have been the reason for that.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena is slated to face Austin Theory at WrestleMania. This has actually been a part of their plan for a while.
It looks like it’s going to be Cena and Theory at Mania. It was the plan way, way back
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon gave John Cena full permission and his blessing to do as much with WWE as he could, even though he retired. Of course, he told Cena that before Mr. McMahon’s took over WWE once again.
John Cena doesn’t come around very often, so anyone who wrestles him has the company’s trust in a big way. Obviously, WWE is building Austin Theory into one of their biggest stars. Only time will tell how it all ends for All Day Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39.
