It’s no surprise that the past couple of weeks have been hectic for the WWE. Since Vince McMahon’s return to power, there has been quite a lot of commotion. If the news of an imminent sale of the company wasn’t enough, Stephanie McMahon also resigned from the company.
According to PW Insider, Adam Hopkins, who was the Vice President of Communications, has now departed the company. Hopkins first joined the WWE’s fans services department in September 1997 and has worked for the company since.
Over the past few years, Adam Hopkins has voiced introductions for WWE NXT media calls and has helped set up interviews with talents. It was also noted that Hopkins departure as been described as “shocking.”
“We are told that Hopkins was not the only recent exit from the company’s PR side, but certainly his exit would be among the most shocking in recent company history, with one person describing it as the equivalent of ‘Howard Finkel’ exiting.”
Once the news broke about his departure from the company, Big E was all praise for Hopkins labeling him as a true professional and a great human.
“A true professional and a great human. Really going to miss A Hop.”
The reasons behind his departure are unknown at the time of writing this article. It’s sad to see a longtime employee like Adam Hopkins leave the company. He was one of the good ones, for real. We at Ringside News wish the best for his future.
