It has been nearly a week since Vince McMahon returned to WWE and changes are already being implemented across the board. The billionaire’s comeback led to several WWE employees resigning from their positions. Now, another name has been added to that list.
PW Insider is reporting that Stefanie Fiondella, who served in the capacity of Vice President of Communications, has resigned from the company. Her exit comes only hours after Adam Hopkins, who served in the same role, left the company.
Fiondella joined WWE in 2004 as Vice President of Marketing & Communications Operations. She left the company in 2019, only to return in 2021 as VP of Communications. She was the co-chair of WWE Women’s Affinity Group as well.
The latest high profile exits come several days after Stephanie McMahon resigned from her position as co-CEO of WWE. The 46-year-old announced her resignation via a Twitter post. She underwent a surgery shortly after her departure. Stephanie’s resignation led to Nick Khan becoming the sole CEO of WWE.
As previously reported, Triple H had assured WWE talent that Vince McMahon’s return to the company won’t affect the creative process in anyway whatsoever during a talent meeting before WWE SmackDown last week.
There is also the feeling in WWE that Vince McMahon could make his television return at any time. This has not helped matters either as McMahon is now determined to usurp the company for good.
