Vince McMahon made headlines last year when he was implicated in a hush money scandal. The pro wrestling was utterly taken aback by this shocking turn of events. However, McMahon made a surprise return and climbed the ranks, first joining the Board of Directors, and then becoming the Executive Chairman in rapid fashion. That being said, fans still don’t like McMahon’s creative direction. It seems Eric Bischoff went after those fans who believe Vince McMahon is out of touch.

Vince McMahon’s return to the Board of Directors was more or less compared to a hostile takeover, as McMahon left no stone unturned in order to achieve his goal. He was appointed as the Executive Chairman of WWE after Stephanie McMahon resigned, leaving Nick Khan as the sole CEO.

The biggest worry that fans have now with Vince McMahon returning is the fact that he could take over the creative aspect of WWE again, which fills fans with dread. Kevin Dunn was very clear that Vince McMahon is not returning to a creative position.

Triple H took over as WWE Creative head and fans loved every single change he has made so far. That’s exactly why fans don’t want Vince McMahon to ruin everything that Triple H fixed.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff addressed those fans who believe Vince McMahon is out of touch. Bischoff decided to rip those fans and stated that he doesn’t believe McMahon is out of touch in many ways.

The whole Vince is old and out of touch thing, you can argue that maybe creatively because you don’t like Vince’s vision of what wrestling should be, but it doesn’t mean that he is not in control of his faculties or that he’s missed a beat.

I think that’s internet wrestling chatter because people aren’t happy with what they’re seeing on television. ‘Oh, it’s because he’s too old.’ No ageism, right?

I would say the events of the last week would suggest that he is far from out of touch.

Vince McMahon’s return to WWE has also been compared to that of Walt Disney in a huge way. He was also hit with a lawsuit by one of WWE’s shareholders for good reason. We’ll have to see if McMahon will gain complete control of WWE in the near future.
