Vince McMahon found his way back as Chairman of WWE’s Board of Directors in a move that impressed and terrified many. After Vince McMahon’s corporate return to WWE, he wanted to make sure to surround himself with the right people.
It was reported that Vince McMahon’s return to WWE is only to help facilitate a potential sale. There are many possible suitors for WWE, including Saudi Arabia. The controversial Kingdom is also thought to be the only perspective buyer who would keep Vince McMahon in any position of power.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon returned to WWE’s Stamford offices this week. He did not come alone. In fact, Mr. McMahon brought back someone who was fired by the company during his hiatus.
A tenured member of the WWE team informed us that Vince McMahon, “brought back Brad Blum, his Chief of Staff, too, who had just been let go about a month and a half ago.” With the re-addition of Michelle Wilson and George Barrios to WWE’s Board of Directors, and Blum back with the company, Mr. McMahon has quite a support system internally.
Only time will tell how much Vince McMahon will change within WWE before he sells the company. Kevin Dunn made it clear during the talent meeting before SmackDown that they have not implemented any changes that Mr. McMahon sent down.
