The world of professional wrestling is an unforgiving one, as careers could end at the slightest instance due to an injury. Unfortunately, it seems that is what happened to NXT UK star Jinny. She has just announced her retirement from pro wrestling after being sidelined due to an injury for a very long time.
The NXT UK star took to her Twitter and officially announced that she still be stepping away from professional wrestling. Jenny made it clear that she will forever cherish the memories she has made over the years.
After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots. Thank you for all the memories. I’ll remember for them forever. Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I’m excited about what’s next
Jinny made her professional wrestling debut in 2015 with Progress Wrestling. Over the next six years, she established herself as a formidable competitor within the promotion and captured the Progress Women’s Championship in May 2018. During her reign as champion, she successfully defended her title against Dakota Kai before eventually losing it to Jordynne Grace.
In addition to her work with Progress, Jinny also made a name for herself in various independent promotions such as Pro Wrestling Chaos, where she became the inaugural Maiden of Chaos Champion, and also competed for RevPro and Westside Xtreme Wrestling.
In 2017, Jinny made her debut with WWE, performing as part of the WrestleMania Axxess event leading up to WrestleMania 33. The following year, she participated in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament, where she was eliminated in the first round by Toni Storm. In 2021, Jinny competed against Piper Niven in a Women’s No. 1 contender’s match on the first episode of NXT UK.
Jinny is also in a romantic relationship with current Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER. We here at Ringside News would like to wish her all the best in whatever she plans on doing after her retirement.
