WWE has gone through a massive change in the last few months, as a new management team took charge and completely revamped the company. Their new creative leader, Triple H, has been at the helm, and several WWE Superstars have claimed to have a better working experience under The Game’s regime.
For years, Vince McMahon and his management controlled everything in WWE, particularly from a creative standpoint. However, Vince took retirement from the company in July 2022, amidst various sexual misconduct and hush money allegations.Triple H was given the reins of the company at that point, a position he still holds despite the company’s current corporate changes.
After Vince McMahon’s exit, new management took over with Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan being appointed as co-CEOs and Triple H taking over the role of Head of Creative, a position that Vince held closely over the years. Stephanie McMahon has since resigned, leaving Nick Khan as the company’s only CEO.
Triple H and his creative leadership made some bold alterations, which has been highly regarded by fans, backstage personnel, and even the current WWE talent. AEW star Matt Hardy recently revealed during the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy that WWE superstars feel much more relaxed working for a boss like Triple H.
Matt Hardy also claimed that WWE Talent perceived Vince McMahon as a much more intimidating boss, with a much different and not-so-laid-back environment under his regime.
“I mean, they’ve just said you wouldn’t believe how different it is. I said, ‘Different? Like in what capacity?’ They said,’ Well, it’s still the same WWE. You know they want you to work on time. They want you to work hard. It’s still a pretty grueling schedule, so to say. They still do the Wellness tests. All that is the same. The feeling that there is not as much intimidation. You’re not walking on eggshells quite as much. You feel a lot more safe and sound being there currently. It’s just a much more laid-back environment. That’s what I’ve heard overwhelmingly.”
Things in WWE are seemingly always changing, as Vince McMahon has returned as the Executive Chairman of the Board. While Mr. McMahon’s return has not made any significant impact on Triple H’s duties so far, fans and the talent are hoping that The Game remains in power as the Head of Creative to preserve a much happier environment backstage.
