Batista Doesn’t Care About Controversy Over Him Dating Melina

Batista has worked hard to establish himself as one of the greatest Superstars in WWE’s history, but there were some toxic years. The Animal has seen great success in the company, becoming a multi-time World Champion prior to becoming a huge star in Hollywood. He was also dating Melina early on in his career and it was a highly controversial one. That being said, it seems Batista doesn’t care about the controversy he had to go through while dating Melina.

In 1998, Batista married his second wife Angie. The two remained together for 8 years until they got divorced in 2006. The former also share a son named Oliver.

During the mid-2000s, Batista was in a relationship with Melina. Fans at that time are more than aware of how tumultuous their relationship had become. In fact, both of them were confronted about it backstage in WWE.

In his autobiography “Batista Unleashed,” the former World Heavyweight Champion revealed that his second wife believed he cheated on her with Melina while they were still together.

“My wife thought I was sleeping with Melina right off the bat, while we were still married. It wasn’t true, but it did make me feel guilty about being friends with her. Since then, as I’ve said, Melina and I have gotten closer and our relationship has become physical. That’s caused a bit of controversy, but I don’t give a sh*t. She’s my friend, and I love her very much.”

In fact, Batista was accused of eavesdropping on Melina while they were together. Batista and Melina’s real-life issues led to Melina getting released by WWE after they had a heated altercation.

Batista and Melina dated for a few months before breaking up and finding other relationships. Batista is also likely to get his WWE Hall Of Fame induction this year. We’ll have to see whether Batista will make his return to the company in the future.
