Triple H took over WWE’s creative direction when his father-in-law, Vince McMahon, stepped down due to a hush money scandal. Now, it seems that there are a lot of reports and rumors going around about the Chairman of the Board, including a narrative that Triple H might be out the door along with his wife, Stephanie McMahon, after Vince McMahon took over once again.
Bill Apter is a respected member of the pro wrestling community, and his opinion holds a lot of weight. He recently opened up about this whole Vince McMahon situation during the Wrestling Binge podcast.
In Bill Apter’s opinion, Triple H should not be removed at all. This is a sentiment that many fans share, and Apter had a very reasonable and business-savvy way of looking at the situation.
“I’m someone no matter whether it’s Saudi or anyone that’s buying this company, the company works the way it is. I would be foolish in any situation to change the makeup of the company, including Triple H being jettisoned, which people are talking about, you know if the company is sold right now. The ratings are really good. If it’s not broken, you know why try and do something else with it.”
Vince McMahon is rumored to be in a deal where he would only sell WWE to someone who will put him in control of the company’s creative direction. Of course, WWE is seeing a resurgence in fan interest thanks to Triple H. Only time will tell what kind of a deal is struck.
News seems to be changing all the time, especially when pro wrestling is concerned. Few fans would have seen this shocking turn of events coming. Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue covering everything that is going on in today’s pro wrestling scene.
