Ever since Veer Mahan returned to NXT to reunite Indus Sher, the duo has targeted The Creed Brothers. For weeks they have been teasing a match between the two teams. Finally last week, a match was made official for NXT New Year’s Evil.

However, last night on New Year’s Evil, only Sanga showed up to confront The Creed Brothers. His partner was nowhere to be seen. While the Creed Brothers were talking on the mic, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal attacked them from behind. This resulted in a match being set up between Jinder Mahal and Julius Creed which the former won.

While it looked like Jinder has made his NXT return to align himself with Indus Sher, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Jinder Mahal will be in NXT for a few weeks until Veer is ready to come back.

“Jinder will be there for a few weeks until Veer is ready to come back.”

As of writing this writing, there is no reported reason for Veer’s absence from WWE television. We will also have to wait and see if Jinder Mahal will continue on NXT after Veer returns, but it seems like a short stay. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep up updated on this story as it develops.
