Stephanie McMahon stepped in and took over her father Vince McMahon’s spot as CEO when he had to step down due to a hush money scandal. A few months later, and Stephanie McMahon is the one stepping away from WWE.
As first reported by The Puck’s Mattew Belloni, Stephanie McMahon’s resigned as co-CEO of WWE. She stepped down from all of her previous positions, and at this point details are scarce.
PW Insider has also confirmed the news of Stephanie’s resigned as co-CEO of WWE.
Vince McMahon pulled a ruthless power play, essentially holding WWE’s upcoming media rights talks hostage unless he got back on the Board of Directors. That move saw him regain power, and he brought Michelle Wilson and George Barrios with him, two people who will back his upcoming moves.
No mention of Nick Khan, WWE’s other co-CEO, was made in this report. Only time will tell what this means for the company’s creative direction. Triple H’s name was not mentioned in that brief report either. All we know is that Stephanie McMahon is reportedly no longer with WWE.
