Last week, Vince McMahon shocked the world when he sent out a press release highlighting the importance of his being reinstated to the board of directors in order to facilitate a sale of the company. Within a day, WWE confirmed Vince McMahon’s return via a press release of their own.
The press release confirmed that Vince McMahon was back in WWE. Ever since then, fans have been questioning who could buy the Stanford-based company. Many notable names came up in the discussion.
The most common names being discussed as potential buyers were Netflix, Amazon, Fox, Disney, and event Tony khan. Many fans expected the owner of AEW to buy the WWE. However, the betting odds were recently released, and it looks like Comcast is the most likely buyer. The betting odds show that Comcast is way ahead of the rest.
Comcast -140
Disney +350
Endeavor Group Holdings +900
Amazon +950
Netflix +1200
FOX +1200
Liberty Media +1500
Warner Bros. Discovery +1500
Dwayne Johnson – RedBird Capital +2000
Sovereign Wealth Fund Of Saudi Arabia +2000
Tony Khan – All Elite Wrestling +3000
Comcast being thrown into the mix seems like an obvious reason, since WWE has a long-standing relationship with them. WWE RAW airs on the USA Network, which is owned by Comcast. Despite this, there is no guarantee that Comcast will right out and buy the company. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep you updated on this story.
