Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are considered two of the best in the pro wrestling business. In fact, they paved the way for many other stars to make a name for themselves outside WWE. The two finally faced off against each other for the second time at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where Omega was triumphant. That being said, their feud is far from over, as AEW is planning to continue their feud.
The Cleaner won the IWGP United States championship last week after defeating Will Ospreay in one of the greatest matches in NJPW history. Despite Omega winning the match, it was made clear that their feud wasn’t finished just yet.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about what AEW has planned for Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. Meltzer noted that the company plans on continuing the feud on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
On Wednesday [on AEW Dynamite], there’s gonna be an acknowledgement of the Omega/Ospreay match in some form, I don’t know the exact form.
I was going like, ‘God, why didn’t they say anything about it? It was one of the best matches and your own guy won a championship, why didn’t you say anything on Wednesday, and then not Friday either?’.
It’ll be mentioned. There’s something going on with that too this week.
Kenny Omega also wants to defend the IWGP United States Championship in AEW. We will have to wait and see how AEW will continue Omega and Will Ospreay’s feud in the coming weeks, as fans are very excited about the two facing each other again in the future.
