MJF is enjoying the best run of his wrestling career so far in AEW. His AEW World title win has put him on an entirely different level. However, we cannot forget about his supposed ‘Bidding War of 2024’ referencing his free agent status next year. Now, wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff has given his take on MJF’s supposed desire to join WWE.

We all remember the famous work shoot promo MJF cut in June 2022, citing his frustrations with Tony Khan and his position in the company. However, things have changed since then as The Salt of the Earth won his first AEW World championship at Full Gear 2022 and has been positioned as the top star of the company.

However, MJF’s current contract does come to an end in January 2024, with the Devil already declaring his intentions to possibly join WWE. Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff recently spoke about the pros and cons of him joining the global juggernaut on the latest episode of his “Strictly Business” podcast.

“What are the advantages for MJF to stay in AEW? Job security, great payday I’m assuming, he’s at the top of the card, probably will be because he’s so young for the next 5, 7, 8 years. The 26-year-old Eric Bischoff would probably bank on the stability and security until I’ve got enough money in the bank that I can roll some dice with my career.”

Eric Bischoff further compared MJF’s planning to go to WWE to the first major AEW superstar to be signed by WWE, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

“Look at what Cody Rhodes has done. Cody left AEW, made a huge splash on his return to WWE on his own terms, and if you’re right, is going to walk away with the WWE World Championship from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania,” stated Bischoff. “It does not get any bigger than that, so if I’m MJF, I’m looking at that trajectory, and I’m going, ‘That could be me, I could do that.’ I don’t know; it’s a tough one, but it’ll be an interesting one to follow.”

MJF’s arrival in WWE could open gates to a lot of opportunities for him, to battle some of the biggest stars in the industry and even compete at perhaps the biggest stages in wrestling, particularly the Grandest Stage of them all, WrestleMania.
