Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite promises another night of exciting action. The TNT Title is on the line tonight as Joe defends against Darby. The Acclaimed will also defend the AEW World Tag Team Titles tonight. The match card is as follows:
The opening package for the show airs and the audience welcomes the audience to the show.
Chris Jericho’s theme song plays first and he comes out with Matt Menard and Angelo Parker. Ricky Starks’ music hit and he walks out to the ring.
The match begins and Jericho arm drags Starks. Ricky with a shoulder tackle on Jericho. Jericho slaps Ricky and Ricky is fired up as he attacks him causing Jericho to roll out of the ring.
Starks sends Jericho into the steel steps and sends him back into the ring.
Jericho with chops to Starks in the corner. Starks picks up Jericho and slams him. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Starks distracted by Menard and Jericho sends him to the apron. Jericho goes for a springboard dropkick but is stopped by Starks. Both men fight on the apron and Jericho hits the suplex to the floor.
Both men get back in the ring. Jericho attacks him in the corner. Jericho choke Starks using his boot. Ricky fights back but not enough as Jericho dropkicks him. Cover! 1….2…..kick out.
Jericho with vicious punches on Starks. Starks fights back with a clothesline. Both men exchange chops. Starks with a clothesline and dropkick. Starks goes for Rochambeau but Jericho fights out of it.
Starks hit the power bomb. Cover! 1…..2….kick out. Starks knocked down and Jericho goes for lionsault but Starks gets the knees up,
Ricky climbs the top rope and goes for moonsault and misses. Jericho goes for codebreaker but Ricky counters and thrust kicks him. Cover! 1…2…kick out.
He goes for a splash in the corner but misses and Jericho hits the codebreaker. Jericho goes for the Judas Effect but Starks blocks it and attempts Rochambeau but Jericho counters into the Wall of Jericho.
Angelo Parker distracts the referee as Matt Menard hits Starks with the baseball bat. The referee is checking to see if he is knocked out but Starks has some fight left in him.
Starks escapes the Walls of Jericho and rolls up Jericho but he kick out. Ricky hits the tornado DDT. He hits the spear on Jericho for the win.
After the match, JAS come out and attack Ricky Starks. Action Andretti comes out with a chair and attacks the JAS. Anna Jay grabs the chair from him as Tay Melo low blows him. JAS then attack him.
Jericho takes the chair and attacks Andretti. Matt Menard and Angelo Parker set up a table. Hager then power bombs Starks through the table.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Hangman Adam Page who comes out to the ring.
Tony asks him whether he can wrestle. Page says there is nothing more than he wants to tell them that he can compete but he still isn’t medically cleared to compete. He says if he fights Moxley, it will set him back one more week.
He says if his brain scan is good, he will be cleared next week. He says he will fight Moxley and will knock him in the dirt. Jon Moxley’s theme song plays and he comes out through the crowd.
Moxley starts by saying he is surprise Page is even here tonight. He says he is sick of the sympathy Page has been getting. His mic doesn’t seem to be working properly.
He says that nobody has been knocked down more than him and he blames Page for playing the victim and it makes him sick. Page says he has been knocked out many times and isn’t mad at Jon for that. He says that Jon made a joke about his condition which is what pissed him off.
He says he is now looking for revenge and he has had a month to stew for what he said. He says he has two lariats in the chamber waiting for him. Moxley says the only joke is that Page thinks next time is gonna be any different and he says Page doesn’t belong in the ring with him and he will make sure Adam Page doesn’t get back up next week.
Jon Moxley then walks away.
Jeff Jarrett’s theme song plays and he comes out with Jay Lethal. The Acclaimed music hits and they come with Caster rapping.
Anthony Bowens and Jeff Jarrett start the match. Jeff slaps Caster. Bowens attacks Jeff in the corner. Jarrett with an elbow and he tags out. Bowens with a kick to the midsection and the guillotine leg drop.
Bowens tags in Caster who hits the Olympic slam on Lethal. He then locks in the Ankle Lock. Caster tags out and bodyslams Lethal while Bowens hits the leg drop. Jeff Jarrett comes in and the same thing happens to him as well.
The Acclaimed scissor each other. Jay Lethal slaps Billy Gunn which fired him up and tries to enter the ring. The referee ejects him from the match. Lethal attacks Bowens from behind.
Lethal attacks Bowens in the corner. Lethal tags in Jeff who hits the side Russian leg sweep. Jeff with a clothesline. Jarrett attacks Bowens in the corner and tags in Lethal.
Lethal with a bodyslam on Bowens. He then climbs the top rope and goes for an elbow drop but misses. Jarrett prevents the tag. Bowens with strikes to Jarrett.
Both men tag out and Caster attacks both men. He hits the thrust kick on Jeff and dives over the top rope onto Lethal. He hits the crossbody on Letha. Caster attacks Jarrett. He then hits the dropkick on Bowens.
Caster tags out and climbs the top rope but is knocked down by Jarrett. Lethal and Jarrett hit a double team move. Cover! 1..2…kick out. Jay Lethal locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock. Satnam sends Caster in the steel steps which results in him getting ejected from the match.
Bowens with a forearm strike and Jarrett plants him while Lethal pins him as Sonjay removed his feet from the top. Referee Aubrey comes out and informs what happened and they decide the match must continue.
Bowens with a thrust kick on Jarrett. Bowens is rolled up but he reverse and pins Lethal.
Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker are interviewed by Schiavone. Britt says that Saraya doesn’t get what this company means to them and what they mean to the company. Hayter says they are homegrown talent. Britt says they had to work their way to the top.
She says that she has Shida and Tonu Storm but still hasn’t decided on her partner. She says that Hayter is the champion while she’s the boss.
Jungle Boys says that he didn’t think he had anyone to count on and challenges The Firm to match.
Bryan Danielson’s theme song plays and he comes out to the ring.
Josh Woods distracts Danielson and Nese attacks Bryan. He hits the running knee in the corner. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Nese continues the attack. Bryan fights back with chops and kicks in the corner.
Bryan with a flying elbow. He then kicks the chest of Nese. He goes for a head kick but is caught and rolled into a buckle bomb. He goes for knee strike but misses and Danielson hits the Busaiku knee. Bryan the stomps Tony Nese before locking in the stretch as Nese is knocked out.
After the match, Danielson gets on the mic and says it is great to be home. He says he is feeling a little froggy and is ready for another fight. Bryan then calls out MJF. MJF’s music plays and he comes out.
MJF says he isn’t going to wrestle Bryan tonight. He says he won’t put his body on the line for the fans because he doesn’t care about them. He says he gets paid whether he wrestles or not.
MJF says Bryan isn’t charismatic. He says just because Bryan looks like goat, it doesn’t make him the greatest of all time. MJF insults Bryan’s mom and Danielson insults MJF’s mom back.
MJF asks him to shut his mouth. He then says he is the best in the world since he is the World Champion. He says he is called the best in the world by other people who have been in the business like Disco Inferno, Eric Bischoff, and Jim Cornette.
Danielson asks him to shut up and says he hates MJF and it’s time to fight. MJF runs to the commentary table and asks him to wait one second. He says he came out as a favour to Bryan and says this is pro wrestling and Bryan should become number one contender to get a shot at the title.
He says he had a feeling he was going to stick his nose in this business. He tells him that if Bryan can wrestle and win till February 8th, he will be the number one contender. MJF says if he can do that, then Bryan will get a title match at AEW Revolution.
Bryan says no and that he will wrestle when he wants and eventually get a title shot. MJF says that if he doesn’t agree to his terms, then Bryan will never be number one contender until his contract his up.
Bryan says he will agree to MJF’s stipulation, if he allows him to make the stipulation for their match at AEW Revolution. He asks Bryan to pick any stipulation.
Bryan then names his stipulation – One Hour Iron Man Match. He asks if MJF is scared. He accepts Bryan challenge and says Bryan will choke in the first week. Danielson says he will run through every opponent put in front of him until February 8 and then he will expose MJF in their title match.
He says that he will kick MJF’s head in after exposing him.
*Commercial break*
Swerve’s Strickland’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. AR Fox’s music plays next and he comes out to the ring.
Swerve sent tot he apron and Fox punches him. He goes for the cutter but is stopped and both men have a stalemate. Fox with a pump kick and a moonsault off the ring post.
Fox sends him into the ring and trips Swerve. He then hits the corkscrew brain buster. He hits a clothesline. One of Swerve’s henchmen attacks Fox. Swerve then kicks him in the face.
Swerve sends him into the ring. He attacks Fox in the corner. Swerve with a diving uppercut. Cover! 1..kick out, Swerve goes to work on Fox.
Swerve hits the clothesline and continues to attack him. Fox fights back with an enzuigiri, He then hits the diving back elbow. He goes for a cutter but Swerve reverse into a German Suplex and follows it with the flatliner. Cover! 1…2…kick out.
Swerve sets him up on the turnbuckle but he is knocked down and Fox with a cutter. He hits another cutter and hits 450 splash. Cover! 1..2…kick out. He picks up Swerve but he fights out of it and sits on the turnbuckle. Fox attempts the back suplex but Parker hands Swerve something and he hits Fox. He then hits the death valley driver on the apron. Swerve climbs the top rope and hits the diving double stomps for the win.
Saraya, Shida and Storm are interviewed by Renee. Saraya says Britt is trying to hold back the AEW Women’s Title. Toni says she got screwed out of her title. Saraya says she is excited about her match next week. She says they have the best female roster and she is sitting next to the best wrestler in the world and pick Toni to be her partner and Shida looks disappointed.
The Gunns theme song plays and they come out and mock FTR. They get in the ring and say that they are here to pay respects to FTR’s legacy. Colton pays a tribute to FTR. Austin also pays his tribute to FTR.
He then asks everyone to stand up and offer a moment of silence for FTR. FTR’s theme song plays and Austin and Colten laugh in the ring. Austin says FTR can wrestle for any promotion but they will never work in AEW again.
Skye Blue’s music plays followed by Kiera Hogan and they walk out to the ring. Jade Cargill’s music plays and she comes out to the ring with the Baddies.
Red velvet and Blue start the match. Blue with a running knee strike and she tags in Hogan who hits the leg drop. Cover! 1.2…kick out. She tags out and Skye continues the attack.
Skye hits the DDT. Cover! 1…..2……kick out. Jade tags in and plants Skye Blue to the mat. She goes for an elbow strike but Skye evades. Jade still rocks her with a right hand as she falls outside.
Jade slams her face into the apron. She continues to attack Skye before sending her into the ring. Skye climbs the top rope but is picked up by Jade. She escapes and tags out.
Jade picks up and plants Hogan to the mat. She tells Velvet to put away Hogan and tags her in. Hogan fights back and hits the clothesline. He then hits the sliding kick. Cover! 1…2…kick out.
Kiera with a suplex and Jade tags in and kicks both her opponents. She hits the choke slam and goes to tag her partner but Velvet walks futon her. Hogan rolls her up but Jade kicks out and kicks her in the face pinning her.
Renee interviews Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal and she says it will be another hold barred match this Friday at Battle of the Belts. Jeff says they will win this Friday.
Darby Allin’s theme song plays and he walks out to the ring. Samoa Joe’s music hits and he comes out to the ring. Joe puts his hands on Nick Wayne but Darby dives onto him and attacks him with a skateboard.
Darby gets a ladder and sets it up in the entrance ramp. He climbs it and dives onto Joe. He sends Joe into the ring. He dropkicks Joe who rolls out of the ring. Allin dives onto Joe but is caught and slammed onto the steel steps.
Joe sends Darby into the ring post. Joe chops Darby viciously. Darby gets back in the ring and attacks Joe in the corner but is stopped with a headbutt. Joe kicks Darby in the chest. Joes goes for an elbow drop but misses and Darby goes for the sleeper hold. But Joe falls back on Darby.
Allin fights back but is caught and dropped by Samoa Joe. He hits Allin with a kick and a senton. Cover! 1….2…..kick out. Joes locks in the half Boston crab. Darby German Suplexes Joe while Joe pulls open the turnbuckle padding. Joe locks in the sleeper hold.
Darby sends him into the exposed turnbuckle and hits Code Red followed by two Coffin Drops for the win.
After the match, Sting comes to the ring. He hugs Darby in the ring.
