Jordynne Grace is one of the top stars in Impact Wrestling and continues to inspire and motivate many fans who struggle with their own identity. She is the Impact Knockouts Champion and fans will never stop giving her all the support in the world. That being said, Grace blames tribalism for why she is overlooked in professional wrestling.
The Impact Wrestling Knockout has accomplished a great deal over the past couple of years. She is the first Knockouts Triple Crown winner, as she has held the Knockouts Championship, the Knockouts Tag Team Championship, and the Digital Media Championship. Grace is the reigning IMPACT Knockouts Champion, and she has held the title since Slammiversary 2022.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Grace was asked whether she feels like she has been overlooked or disrespected throughout her rise in the industry. Grace made it clear that she is blaming tribalism for why she has been overlooked in pro wrestling.
“I don’t think disrespected is the right word. I think overlooked might be more accurate. Honestly, I truly think that’s just because tribalism in wrestling is so adamant across the board. If people watch WWE, they’re very big on the WWE wrestlers. If they watch AEW, they’re big on AEW wrestlers. I just think if people do go out of their way to watch IMPACT, it’s very rare, so I don’t think that they’re gonna see me one time and be 100% behind me. So I can understand that. But at the same time, it does suck to work as hard as you have worked and not be acknowledged completely.”
Jordynne Grace will be putting her title on the line against Mickie James at Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 13th. We will have to wait and see whether Grace will be to retain the title or not.
