Matt Jackson returned to AEW programming alongside his brother, Nick Jackson, and Kenny Omega. The Elite’s stay off television was not a planned one, but it needed to take place as part of their suspension due to that famous locker room brawl with CM Punk after AEW All Out. The Young Bucks’ return to AEW saw them get consistent television time, but Matt Jackson won’t be around this week.

AEW will be in Seattle this week for a big show, but they’ll be missing one EVP. On the latest episode of “Being The Elite,” Matt Jackson revealed why he won’t be there.

“I’m taking next week off. I’m not going to be in Seattle, obviously, or the [Tokyo] Dome [for Wrestle Kingdom 17]. I’m taking my family on a vacation, something I’ve been planning for a while. It is a Christmas idea. I’ve earned it. I’m happy.”

Kenny Omega and Nick Jackson might be on hand this week for AEW Dynamite. The Elite and The Death Triangle are involved in a massive best-of 7 series, and those matches are taking a toll on everyone involved.
