AEW hired Mike Mansury to help revamp their television product, and that is going to start this week. Mansury was previously with WWE, and he held a very high position as the man who was next in line to replace Kevin Dunn. It appears that AEW Dynamite’s changes will be evident the moment their theme song hits.
Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Grapsody’s Will Washington noted on the podcast that the AEW Dynamite theme song, “Light The Fuse” is set to get a bit of a remix. Of course, other production changes are also expected.
Multiple AEW sources that “Light the Fuse” will be staying on the top of the AEW Dynamite broadcast, albeit an altered version. Washington was told that it was a “slight remix” of the No One Hero song.
Tony Khan previously told Grapsody that there will be set and production changes that are happening, but reiterated that the wrestling, performers and the like would remain the same. Those that we spoke to said that is also the same for the broadcast team.
Mike Mansury, who was a big hire for AEW’s production team, is set to kick his work into full gear in the new year. We’re told that the approach he took when accepting the job was that there was plenty off work that could be done, but that it was good work that would improve the brand.
We will have to see how AEW Dynamite looks this week. Obviously, the company loves this attention and natural curiosity from fans. Mike Mansury could turn out as one of the most important hires in the company’s history if this turns out the way Tony Khan hopes.
