WWE has a ton of talented people in Raw and Smackdown, and the red brand could to get a new title belt soon enough. Roman Reigns holds both top belts in the company, so WWE is thinking about creating a new championship belt for the men.
WWE hopes to enter the summer with a top championship for each brand, as exclusively reported by Wrestling News. Obviously, WWE has a bit of time to make those plans happen.
In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there is still a lot of discussion going on over adding a second title to Raw. Only time will tell when and if that happens.
“there remains a lot of talk of creating a second title for Raw (or SmackDown if they switch brands with [Roman] Reigns or if someone beats Reigns) in 2023.”
Roman Reigns will probably be the undisputed WWE Universal Champion heading into WrestleMania 39. WWE has also reportedly figured out a Plan B in case The Rock can’t make the show of shows.
