William Regal is one of the most well-known pro wrestlers in the industry, and he is truly a genius in the business. Regal was released by WWE earlier this year and debuted in AEW just a couple of months after that. Regal eventually left AEW, and now he has confirmed that his time in Tony Khan’s company is over.

William Regal has officially left AEW. This was right after he was written off television earlier this year, at the hands of MJF. Khan ultimately allowed Regal to leave the company so that he could work with his son in NXT.

Lord Regal recently took to Twitter and officially confirmed that his time in AEW has come to an end. He thanked AEW President Tony Khan as well as the rest of the crew for all they have done.

“Yesterday was my last official day with @AEW. I’d like to thank @TonyKhan, Megha and all the hard working crew. Contrary to people who’ve never spoken to me or have their information from people who don’t know me or are trying to make themselves noticed,I had a lovely time.….working there and had a great time. Lots of talented Wrestlers, and lovely people to work for. To my fellow BCC members, it was a special, albeit brief few months but it cemented our already strong friendship. To everyone there, thank you for welcoming me. Best wishes

William Regal will also not appear on WWE television as part of his AEW release. Regal will be given a Vice President position once he starts working in WWE in January. We’ll have to see whether William Regal will end up making positive changes for WWE once he comes back next month.
