Drew McIntyre was pulled from a huge match at the recently-held WWE live event in Madison Square Garden due to an injury. Tonight, the Scottish Warrior made his return to SmackDown.

Tonight’s edition of SmackDown featured a singles matchup between Sheamus and Solo Sikoa. The Street Champion won the match, but decided to take out Sheamus with a running hip attack.

Drew McIntyre’s music hit and the former WWE Champion returned to make the save for The Celtic Warrior. Butch and Ridge Holland also joined the action against The Bloodline.

McIntyre was originally booked to compete in a huge tag team match against The Bloodline at MSG on December 26th, but his injury forced WWE to change the plans. It remains to be seen how Triple H will book McIntyre moving forward.
