Rick Flair and Hulk Hogan are two of the biggest names in WWE’s history. The Nature Boy and The Hulkster frequently squared off in the ring together in WWE, WCW, and Impact Wrestling between 1991 and 2010. Recently, Rick has appeared and claimed to be close friends with Hulk Hogan.
Rick Flair talked about Hulk Hogan in a recent edition of his To Be The Man podcast. The 16-time world champion spoke candidly about his relationship with The Hulkster at the present. He also talked about his friendship with WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash.
“To this day I am probably better friends with Hulk right now, and Kevin [Nash], than I ever have been. (…) Yeah, I stay very, I mean, we don’t talk every day but I mean Kevin and I talked and linked right after his son passed away. I mean, those are the kind of conversations that mean something. (…) And Hulk, could Hulk have been better to me in the documentary? He couldn’t have said anything better, could he? Yeah, and he didn’t have to do that. Kevin Nash didn’t have to talk nice.”
Rick Flair spoke fondly about Hulk Hogan and said that he’s “better friends with Hulk right now.” He also mentioned how Hogan has been nothing but good to him in the recent past. He also talked about catching up with The Hulkster after his son passed away.
The Nature Boy provided an update on Hogan’s health and life during a recent episode of his To Be The Man podcast. Flair revealed that Hogan had purchased a home and is now healthier. The Hulkster is reportedly ready to recover from his back injury along with his “new girl.”
Hulk Hogan and Rick Flair’s last bout came in 2010. On an episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Hogan and Abyss faced off against Flair and AJ Styles. The match, however, ended in a draw.
The rivalry between these two greats was one of WWE’s best. The fans have always hoped for a Wrestlemania match between the two, however, it never came to fruition. Seeing them as good friends now will really make their respective fans happy.
