AEW commentator Tony Schiavone firmly believes that WWE knows how to amuse its viewers when putting on a performance. However, he also wonders whether WWE is focusing too much on presentation and not enough on the pro wrestling itself.

Tony Schiavone recently appeared on the “WHW” podcast, where he admitted that the WrestleMania events are amazing to witness.

“It’s an unbelievable production that they continue each and every year. With the exception of the pandemic, of course, but [they] continue each and every year to top themselves with the presentation.”

Tony Schiavone was asked if AEW was more interested in match quality while WWE was more focused on production values. He responded by admitting he doesn’t follow the current WWE shows, but recalled his thoughts when he started watching wrestling again in 2017 after a 14-year absence.

“On a regular television show, the entrance has become so spectacular with the WWE that it’s almost like the entrance is better than the match sometimes. And I don’t think it should be. Now the exception is WrestleMania because this is WrestleMania – they do some great camerawork.”

Tony Schiavone claimed that surely he prefers excellent wrestling bouts more than fantastic entrances. Keep an eye on Ringside News to get more updates.
