Roman Reigns has been booked as an unstoppable force since his return to the company back in 2020. Being the Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is looked upon as the top face of the company, and with that comes a world of responsibilities. That being said, Reigns is also viewed as a locker room leader and is one of the nicest people in WWE. In fact, Reigns once told a WWE talent not to leave his locker room when they accidentally set up before a show.
On May 11th, 2018, former NXT UK star Sam Gradwell lost a match to JD McDonagh during an untelevised match in Dublin, Ireland. It was around that time that a member of the ring crew instructed him to find a place in the locker room to keep his ring gear.
When Gradwell managed to find a discreet place, he noticed that Roman Reigns’ gear was right in front of him. While speaking on the Wrestling With Johners Podcast, Gradwell revealed that when he tried to instantly leave the locker room, Roman Reigns told him to stay and they ended up talking all night.
“I sat down and I looked at the chair in front of me, and I realized that Roman Reigns had set his gear over the chair in front of me, so I was like, ‘Oh s**t, I’ve gotta get out of here, I’ve gotta find a different room.’ I go to pick up my bag to leave, and Roman walks in and says, ‘No, no, no, you sit there, you’re good,’ and he just sat chatting to me all night.”
This is certainly a wholesome story featuring Roman Reigns, which just goes to show despite how big a heel he is in WWE, Reigns is just as good as a person in real life. WWE is also planning big changes for Reigns as a champion, so we’ll have to see how WWE will execute their plans.
