Vince McMahon was the Chairman of WWE for several years and ruled the company with an iron fist. That all ended abruptly earlier this year after he was accused of a hush money scandal. Recent reports suggested that McMahon plans on returning to WWE, which many fans and pro wrestlers are against. That being said, WWE’s stock has been quite strong after his retirement. In fact, this has surprised Eric Bischoff.

Following Vince McMahon’s retirement, Triple H took over as head of WWE Creative. Since then, he has been on a roll when it comes to making huge changes in the company.

While speaking on the Christmas episode of AFTER 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about WWE’s current leadership situation. Bischoff made it clear that he is surprised WWE’s stock hasn’t been affected.

I didn’t think I’d actually see it in my lifetime. I’m 10 years younger than Vince, but I’m still convinced he’s gonna outlive me by 30 or 40 years… I never thought I’d see the day that he resigns.

A more interesting story, I think, is how well the stock price has done since he left.

Ric Flair also believes Vince McMahon is entitled to make his WWE return. McMahon’s possible return is also an exhausting idea internally in WWE. Kevin Nash wants McMahon to stay retired so WWE’s stock can go up. It remains to be seen whether the former WWE Chairman will return to the company in 2023 and beyond.
