Ric Flair Thinks Roman Reigns Lost Respect For Him

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s contributions to pro wrestling can never be understated, but he has also burned many bridges over the past several decades. For a long time, Ric Flair did not hide the fact that he had beef with Becky Lynch. This included Flair wondering when Becky Lynch will stop calling herself The Man. In fact, Flair even believes that Roman Reigns lost respect for him due to this beef with Lynch.

Becky Lynch rose to superstardom in 2018 and began calling herself ‘The Man.’ Flair tried to trademark the term in 2019 and the issue was resolved last year after WWE gained the rights to use “The Man.”

Despite this, it did not stop Flair from going after Becky Lynch time and time again. While speaking to Conrad Thompson, Ric Flair revealed that he thinks Roman Reigns lost respect for him after Flair constantly took shots at Becky Lynch.

“I was concerned that I had lost the respect of Roman Reigns. Because when that whole ‘Man’ thing went upside down and all that and I had to file the trademark, whatever transpired, it means nothing now. I think people, I heard that he… and I walked right up to him. I said, ‘Can I have a minute of your time?’ and I said, ‘Hey, it means a lot to me.’ I mean, you want the kids [current WWE Superstars] to look forward to you coming, not, ‘Oh man, here he comes again.’ Does that make sense? Especially when you have a daughter who is at the most elite position she could be in.”

By the looks of it, Ric Flair didn’t lose the respect of Roman Reigns in the end. Regardless, Flair maintains a good relationship with WWE but it is not known when he will return to WWE television.
