Molly Holly is a two-time women’s champion and also a former Hardcore champion. She was one of the highlights of the women’s division during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era in WWE. Molly Holly is beloved by many, even after she left WWE over 17 years ago as an active competitor. She was also inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year, but her speech was a short one. In fact, Molly Holly blamed short attention spans for her short speech.

The WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2020 and 2021 were both inducted during WrestleMania weekend last year. Over the years, WWE has mixed feelings regarding which Hall of Famers they allowed to have a long speech and which they did not.

Molly Holly was among those who had a shockingly brief speech, amounting to a mere two minutes. While speaking during a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, Molly Holly explained why WWE cut down the Hall of Fame speeches last year, as she blamed people’s short attention spans.

”They were wanting to change it to be a little bit more like the Academy Awards, to follow suit of what pop culture expects from award ceremonies,” she said. “Plus, people’s attention spans are shorter, so they just wanted shorter speeches to reflect what other award shows do.”
