CM Punk was a top performer after he was introduced to AEW. He was in the center of many big angles for the company. However, Tony Khan still won’t comment on Punk’s future while he is suspended.

Since the fallout from All Out, CM Punk hasn’t made an appearance on AEW television. According to reports, the former AEW World Champion was put on indefinite leave after an altercation with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. Tony Khan, President and CEO of AEW, has some big decisions to make, but he’s not letting the cat out of the bag.

Tony Khan was asked by Grapsody if Punk will make an AEW appearance in 2023. TK, however, refused to comment on the subject. Khan did acknowledge that there were intentions for Punk and FTR to perform as a trio over the summer, but Punk’s injury prevented that from happening.

Khan also covered the subject of AEW Dynamite’s upcoming improvements. It won’t just be from a production perspective. The appearance, set, and presentation will also see a change. It was also mentioned that due to Punk’s injuries, many of the cards for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door had to be modified.

CM Punk won the AEW World Championship twice while he was with the company. However, he was unable to effectively defend the title during either reign. Punk initially gave up the first title to Jon Moxley and had to leave a second time due to an injury.

It will be crucial to keep an eye on AEW and their plans for CM Punk in the next few weeks. With his prolonged absence from the spotlight, fans can’t help but think it’s the end of the road for him.
