Buff Bagwell made a name for himself in WCW, where he found moderate success as part of the mid-card scene. Bagwell eventually made his way to WWE, where he really did not get to do much at all. Bagwell also has a history of substance abuse problems, among other things. This has made fans concerned for his well-being, for a good reason. However, now it seems he also crossed a huge milestone recently when it came to his sobriety.
WWE also has a policy of helping former talent go through rehab, should they need it. Buff Bagwell had substance abuse issues as well. In fact, Bagwell previously said that WWE rejected his request for rehab.
The former WCW and WWE star took to Twitter recently and uploaded a video, revealing that he has been sober for 117 days, and is on a healthy path toward recovery. Naturally, fans were really glad for him.
117 days sober. My walk of sobriety has just begun but I have learned so much in just a few months! Thank you to all those who continue to support me. Sharing my experience on my cameos and at recent live events has been a huge part of knowing I’m on the right path. #thankful
In 2021, Bagwell started a podcast called “Rebuilding Buff.” The podcast ran into some controversy after the former star mentioned that WWE had turned him down for rehab. Thankfully, those days are long behind him as Bagwell is clearly on the right path and turning his life around. We applaud him for his dedication and hope Bagwell manages to stay on the right path.
