WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather was one of the mainstays of the company during the early 90s, where he was Papa Shango. When he embraced his Godfather gimmick in 1998, the WWE Hall of Famer truly became a well-known name in the company. The Godfather recently went through a successful surgery, but now he has a positive update.

The Godfather underwent hip surgery this week. The Godfather posted on Facebook that he “finally” had that surgery at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, which he had been needing for some time.

Finally getting that hip surgery done. [laughing emoji x 2]

The Godfather then posted an update, saying that the procedure went well. “Hip replacement surgery went real well. And I will say that morphine is a hell of a drug… [thumbs up emoji] [cloud emoji x 4] [train emoji].”

The Godfather, who is 61 years old, has not wrestled since 2014. In 2016, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. You can check out the Facebook posts below.
