Sammy Guevara started his AEW tenure in 2019, as a member of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle faction. He branched out on his own later on to achieve singles success, winning the AEW TNT championship on three occasions, and has been regarded for his on-screen chemistry with his real-life wife, Tay Conti.

The Spanish God, however, did not have a pleasant welcome back to his home state of Texas this week on AEW Dynamite. He was a part of a segment featuring a verbal interaction between Chris Jericho and Ricky Starks, alongside the Ucho and Daniel Garcia, who then proceeded to attack Starks on Jericho’s commands. The fans could be heard booing the home state boy, Sammy, and he responded to the same on Twitter, being glad to move out of Texas.

“I’m glad I moved!”

Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia’s attack was initiated after Jake Hager ambushed the Absolute Ricky Starks from behind. The Jericho Appreciation Society (as they are collectively known) continued the attack until Action Andretti ran to clear out the ring and made the save for Starks.
