AEW held five pay-per-view events in addition to countless television specials between January and December 2022, and the number of special events may go up in 2023.
According to Fightful, AEW recently filed to trademark “Wrestle Bowl” and “Wrestling Bowl.” with the intent of “covering the categories of conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of wresting exhibits and performances by professional wrestlers.”

This comes days after Tony Khan brought in a former top WWE executive to assist AEW with improving the quality of television production. Khan is also working with Jeff Jarrett to introduce live events. It remains to be seen how AEW will implement the changes.
