Big E has spoken out about his road to recovery after suffering a serious injury in a WWE match earlier this year. The New Day member landed awkwardly after receiving a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland at ringside on the March 11th episode of SmackDown, and the WWE Universe hasn’t been the same.

Big E broke his neck and hasn’t wrestled since. The 36-year-old revealed to These Urban Times that he will learn more about his return date in March 2023. The New Day member is loved by fans, so they are all hoping that return is coming soon.

I have to get some more scans at the one-year mark in March, and then we’ll see how everything’s looking, but we’ll see from there,” Big E said. “Yeah, yeah [excited to return], my C1 is broken in two spots, so I obviously would be very smart about that. I was very fortunate, so I just want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself, so we’ll see in March.

Big E is widely regarded as one of the most popular WWE superstars. His biggest career highlight so far came in September 2021, when he defeated Bobby Lashley to win the WWE Championship.

In July, the former WWE Champion told TMZ that if his neck injury forced him to retire from wrestling early, he would be fine with that. However, his most recent update appears to confirm that he intends to return to the ring once he is medically cleared to do so.

Big E has been providing voice-over since his WWE absence came into being. He is an experienced individual in the ring and continues to be of value to the WWE management in his absence.
