Grayson Waller Takes Shot At NXT Talent Who Kiss Up To Shawn Michaels

Grayson Waller shocked fans by winning the first-ever Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. Tonight, the self-proclaimed face of NXT recreated a classic WCW spot.

Grayson Waller was on the search for Bron Breakker during NXT this week. The arrogant Aussie was told Breakker wasn’t on the show due to prior commitments. Still, Waller called out the NXT Champion to face him for the title during the show’s main event.

Breakker arrived and confronted Waller inside the ring. The champion ducked a clothesline from Waller and took him out with a spear. Unbeknown to Breakker, Waller had a metal plate hidden inside the fur coat he was wearing to protect him from taking the full impact of the spear.

Waller took to Twitter after the show and took a major shot at NXT talent who kiss up to Shawn Michaels. The challenger for the NXT Championship posted a picture of the classic Bret Hart and Goldberg angle from WCW, when the Hitman took a spear from the powerhouse only to reveal he had a metal plate to protect him the whole time.

Grayson Waller will meet Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil on January 10, 2023. It remains to be seen who will come out victorious after the match.
