WWE Told Dolph Ziggler He Was Never Allowed To Wear Certain Ring Gear Again

Dolph Ziggler’s appearance has evolved over the course of his 18-year WWE career. Earlier in his career, the RAW Superstar wore snow leopard-themed gear during a match against his real-life friend John Morrison. Ziggler recently recalled being chastised backstage following a WWE match for his choice of attire.

Dolph Ziggler explained how he came up with a unique style for his on-screen character in an interview with B-Sox. He claimed that he loves leopard print. The Show-Off also claimed that he got snow leopard gloves, a snow leopard vest, and snow leopard trunks. The “douchey” look was exactly what he was going for, but it didn’t fly with management.

I like leopard print. I got snow leopard gloves, a snow leopard vest, snow leopard trunks, and I got the craziest, biggest purple orange spray tan you could ever get, and I bleached my hair fresh the night before. I go, ‘This is so outlandish and douchey. It’s gonna be great.’

Unfortunately, WWE’s higher-ups did not share Ziggler’s enthusiasm for his new wrestling gear. He said that he enjoys it and had a good time. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to wrestle John Morrison, one of his closest friends. He also explained how much fun they had when they beat the ‘hell’ out of each other.

I loved it and I had a great time. And I got to wrestle John Morrison, one of my best friends, and we had such a blast beating the hell out of each other, and I came to the back and, in some words I can’t repeat, I was told that this would never be worn again. ‘Great match, don’t ever do that again.’ ‘Okay, I got it, thank you.’
