Mustafa Ali first debuted in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in 2016. Since his debut, Ali has impressed fans and WWE management, so much so that he was due for a big push a couple of years ago which got derailed due to injury. When Ali returned, he was made the leader of Retribution, which nearly destroyed his reputation. He’s doing his own thing right now, and WWE recently let him enjoy an incredible moment.

Mustafa Ali is known for being a resilient person in and out of the ring. That being said, he is still in search of his first championship match in the WWE. It’s not hard to root for Ali, whether you’re a fan or a WWE official.

WWE held SmackDown in Chicago this week, and it was a legit sellout. According to Fightful Select, Mustafa Ali was allowed to work a dark match against Mansoor, despite being a RAW superstar, because his family was in attendance. The match was produced by Shawn Daivari.

“Mustafa Ali worked the dark match against Mansoor with Shawn Daivari producing. Ali is still on the Raw brand, but his family was in attendance and the booking was to get him to wrestle in front of them,” per Fightful Select.
