Seth Rollins has accomplished a lot in WWE, as he is a multi-time world champion and was involved in numerous solid feuds over the years. The Visionary has faced off against the best of the best the industry has to offer. While he loves working in WWE, it doesn’t mean Rollins necessarily liked everything he had to do there. In fact, Rollins was once ticked off after Vince McMahon formed him to redo a match.
The former Shield member defeated Kofi Kingston in a pre-taped match for the June 20, 2014, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. This was around the time he was becoming a singles star after betraying the shield.
While Rollins thought the match was alright, Vince McMahon thought otherwise. While speaking on Edge & Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness, Seth Rollins once recalled being massively ticked off after Vince McMahon formed him to redo his match with Kofi Kingston.
”Vince was furious about it! Like, furious! Just, ‘Get over here!’ And he’s yelling at me, and he’s just like, ‘If you’re gonna be my guy, you’re gonna be my guy, that’s not what I want.
They ended up making me and Kofi have to go out and redo the match. And I remember the feeling when they told me that. I was so angry and embarrassed, and just ready to just walk out and not do it, cause I was like, never in my life! Never should this happen to me! But it was such a learning experience in retrospect that it’s okay to screw up sometimes.”
Seth Rollins earned a shot at Austin Theory’s United States Championship on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We’ll have to see if he will be able to win the match and become the new champion soon.
