Lita is one of the most popular women to ever set foot inside a WWE ring. She was one of those women who wasn’t afraid to put her body on the line for the sake of the fans’ entertainment. People remember Lita for several different reasons, and she also has memories she will never forget.
Some fans will remember Lita for her in-ring skills while other fan’s remember her for her revealing clothing. She was definitely not afraid to push the boundaries when it came to her clothing choices. Hence, it should come as a surprise that when Lita was asked to do a photoshoot in Times Square, she described the experience as “weird” in her autobiography “Lita: A Less Traveled R.O.A.D — The Reality of Amy Dumas.
“The shoot was a very weird experience. There I was, in the middle of freaking Times Square, wearing practically nothing, with all these fans standing around hooting and hollering. At first I tried to play it cool, chatting with the fans.
But as the day went on, I began feeling awkward and uncomfortable. I had to act like there was nothing wrong. I don’t mind posing in a studio environment, but it really su*ked doing it out in the street with an audience watching. It wasn’t a great day for me. It was something that I hope I never have to go through again,” Lita wrote.
It’s a shame that social media wasn’t around when Lita was at her peak. She would amassed 10x the followers she currently has for her photoshoots. Although currently retired, Lita does make sporadic appearances for the WWE. Given that the Royal Rumble is around the corner, it will be interesting to see if Lita will participate in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
