Raquel Rodriguez has proven herself to become one of the rising stars of WWE’s women’s division on the main roster. She has been wrestling on SmackDown for a while and has been reportedly dealing with an injury. However, it seems like Rodriguez’s injury is only work.
Raquel Rodriguez arrived to the WWE main roster on the April 8th episode of SmackDown, after a successful stint in NXT. She was recently involved in a feud with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler alongside her ally, Shotzi. The Survivor Series go-home edition of SmackDown saw Raquel suffer an injury due to a backstage assault, which was further aggravated in a tag team match against Rousey and Baszler later that night.
The former NXT Women’s champion reportedly suffered a broken arm and dislocated elbow in the attack and has been spotted wearing a brace to sell the injury. However, according to a report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Raquel Rodriguez’s injury is not legitimate as she has been wrestling on house shows.
“Obviously the Rodriguez injury is a work as she’s been doing the house shows.”

Raquel Rodriguez’s absence could possibly be presented as a long-term injury to plant the seeds for a potential feud between herself and Ronda Rousey over the SmackDown Women’s championship, sometime next year. We will have to see how things transpire from this point on. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
