Mandy Rose ruled the roost over the NXT landscape for over a year, as the dominant NXT Women’s champion. However, this week saw everything coming crashing down for her as Mandy not only lost her title but was even released by WWE for posting adult content on her FanTime premium content page. Now, it has come out that she was not given a chance by WWE to remove the content.
Mandy Rose completely revamped her entire career by returning to NXT in 2021 with a complete makeover. Repackaged as the aggressive leader of a new faction, Toxic Attraction, Mandy Rose climbed to the top of the mountain and won the NXT Women’s championship at NXT Halloween Havoc 2021.
The former Golden Goddess went on to hold the title for 413 days, before dropping the title this week on NXT and being unceremoniously fired by WWE for releasing explicit content on her own Fantime page, reportedly breaking WWE’s moral code. In a new report according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mandy Rose was not even given an opportunity by the management to take down her content before being released.
“It is believed she was fired without being given the option to take the stuff down and tone down her site. Those in the company felt that had no other choice then to fire her because she was an active performer on the roster, and these were public photos and videos for customers, unlike several of the women stars who have had their personal private photos hacked and released without their knowledge or permission where the company saw the talent as the victims.”
Mandy Rose was supposed to defend her title against the winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge, Roxanne Perez at New Year’s Evil. However, due to Rose’s adult content being released to the public, the match was shifted to this week’s episode of NXT which saw Roxanne Perez ending Mandy’s record-setting reign.
