CM Punk’s AEW stint came to a screeching halt at All Out. The Second City Saint was involved in a brawl with The Elite and that led to Tony Khan stripping him of the AEW World Championship. Punk’s AEW return is uncertain at the moment.

Punk has been busy with commentary gig with Cage Fury Fighting Championships and other projects lately. Recently, a clip from a CFFC bout found its way to social media and it had Punk dropping a Long Island reference.

“There’s people from Long island, you can’t trust them.”

The comment appears to be directed towards current AEW World Champion and Long Island native MJF. Punk and MJF had a storied feud that was praised by fans and peers alike.

The feud met its demise in a Dog Collar Match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view event on March 6, 2022. MJF’s associate Wardlow turned his back on The Devil Himself during the match.

AEW had plans for Punk and MJF to wrestle in the All Out main event, with more ‘classic promo battles’ planned prior to their title match. However, the plans never came to fruition.
