Chris Jericho Shoots Down Report About His NJPW Pay

Chris Jericho is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, whose career has spanned over three decades. Jericho is also never afraid of speaking his mind on matters he isn’t in agreement with. Recent reports suggested that Sasha Banks will make more money from her NJPW deal than what Jericho made. Now it seems Jericho decided to fire back at these reports.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported that Sasha Banks could end up making more money than Chris Jericho did in NJPW. Fans were surprised by this report for good reason.

Chris Jericho saw this report and decided to call it out for being fake. Jericho took to Twitter and clarified that he was paid according to the event in NJPW and made more money from each event than he did for most WrestleMania matches.

For the record, the money I reportedly made during my run with @njpw1972 from 2018-2020 online currently is completely wrong. I never had a flat per appearance deal, I was paid according to the event. And I made more per event than I did for MOST of my WrestleMania matches.

Chris Jericho also recently put over Action Andretti on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. It remains to be seen what the company has planned for Jericho next. For the time being, Jericho is busy with various other projects.
