Naturally, a lot of fans were not happy with this decision as they felt Jericho got buried. Sean Waltman took to Twitter and defended Jericho’ getting squashed’s loss as he brought up his own famous 1, 2, 3 Kid match against Scott Hall, where he beat the Bad Guy in the biggest upset of his career.

I just got the sh*t beat out of me by Scott, before he charged the corner, I moved & hit the moonsault body block. I got zero offense in before that. Chris had a competitive match with Andretti before putting him over.

Waltman made it clear that Jericho is truly a giver when it comes to putting young talent over. Tony Khan confirmed Andretti’s AEW signing after his big win. Regardless, only time will tell whether Action Andretti will become a huge deal. For the time being, he is certainly off to a great start.
