Former Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham made his return to Impact Wrestling tonight. Gresham confronted Eddie Edwards during the December 15, 2022 edition of Impact.
Impact backstage correspondent Gia Miller caught up with Gresham after the match. The former ROH star revealed he has signed a contract with Impact Wrestling.
“I’m back here in IMPACT Wrestling because I feel like I have unfinished business with Eddie Edwards. Now I know Eddie is trying to move on from this Honor No More stuff and I would too, to be honest, so I get it. But the last time I was here, I had a match scheduled with Eddie, a match that never happened, and like Eddie, I’m trying to move on, too but to be honest with you was very difficult for me to do that when I know I have to put this to bed with him. So at some point, Eddie is going to have to deal with me. I can say that with confidence because I just signed a contract here with IMPACT Wrestling today. So I’m not going anywhere.”
Jonathan Gresham last competed for Impact Wrestling on April 14th, where he beat Rocky Romero. He was one of the many stars that stayed with Ring of Honor after the promotion was bought by Tony Khan.
Gresham defended the ROH World Championship on AEW shows. He dropped the title to Claudio Castagnoli at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view event on July 23, 2022. He eventually parted ways with the promotion. It remains to be seen how Impact Wrestling will utilize Gresham.
