WWE has a roster full of future Superstars in NXT, and some of them are more prepared for television than others. Cameron Grimes had years of television exposure under his belt in Impact Wrestling as Trevor Lee prior to even signing with WWE. Now, it seems he is a perfect fit for the main roster.
Sean Sapp reported a very hopeful update behind Fightful’s paywall regarding Cameron Grimes’ main roster call-up. WWE staff obviously know that Grimes has a lot of experience, and he could be a logical choice.
It was reported recently that Cameron Grimes was considered for an NXT call up, but hasn’t appeared yet. Fightful Select spoke with several WWE staff who considered Grimes a natural fit, with one noting that he’s been working television for over five years straight and has great familiarity with producer Shane Helms, who does work on Raw & Smackdown.
WrestleMania season is upon us, so we never know who will show up on that journey. The Royal Rumble on January 28th could also provide a perfect opportunity for a surprise debut.
Only time will tell which direction WWE decides to go with Cameron Grime, but it seems that he will enjoy the bright lights or RAW or SmackDown soon enough.
