AEW President Tony Khan is very passionate about pro wrestling, which is an objective fact. In fact, Khan is seen by some as more of a fan who runs a company instead of a proper boss. This has led to a lot of problems with the company’s image in many ways. In fact, Tony Khan was blasted for partying with his talent recently in scathing fashion.
While Tony Khan is a very friendly boss who is almost never angry, Vince McMahon was notorious for the way he handled business in WWE. However, it cannot be denied that McMahon knew how to keep people in check.
While speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about the differences between Vince McMahon and Tony Khan. He then proceeded to blast Tony Khan for partying with AEW talent.
“If the guys can just willy-nilly say on Twitter or out in public in front of God and everybody, yeah, Tony goes out and parties with all the guys and they do this and that and they stay up all night and you know, if you’re in that clique, then you get preferential treatment. And even if they’re not getting preferential treatment, because they’re in that clique, you’ve still established that the boss is staying up all night partying with the f*cking guys.”
Tony Khan also explained why he barely uses ROH stars on AEW Dynamite. That won’t stop him from grabbing a few White Claws with them after the show. Regardless, Tony Khan is unlikely to change the way he interacts with his talent, and that’s something fans will just have to accept now.
