Tonight’s SmackDown will feature a big tag team championship match as The Usos defend their titles against the team of Sheamus and Butch.
Also advertised for tonight is a special birthday celebration for the legendary Kurt Angle.
It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos vs Sheamus & Butch
Our opening championship match begins with Sheamus and Jimmy Uso. The two lock up and Sheamus backs Jimmy to the corner. Sheamus gets a headlock take down and hits a big shoulder tackle. Sheamus blocks a hip toss attempt from Jimmy and hits a lariat. Butch and Jey both tag in and Jey hits a flying forearm in the corner. Jimmy makes the blind tag and Jimmy & Jey double team slam Butch off onto the top rope.

Back live with Jey Uso Irish whipping Butch head-first to the middle turnbuckle. Jimmy tags in and hits a top rope elbow drop and covers for two. Butch hits an enziguri but Jey Uso tags in and hits Sheamus withe a forearm to prevent Butch from making the tag. Jey goes for a Rikishi-style splash in the corner but Butch counters with a big boot. Sheamus and Jimmy Uso are both tagged in and Sheamus hits a power slam. Jimmy rolls to the apron and Jey climbs up and is caught by Butch and Sheamus and Butch hit both Usos with a combined total of 35 beats of the Bodhran (this is accurate I counted myself). Sheamus places Jimmy on the top and hits an avalanche white noise and covers for a two count.

Back live with Jey and Butch fighting on the top rope, Butch snaps Jey’s fingers to knock him down to the mat. Jimmy causes a distraction and Jey hits Butch with a neckbreaker. Sheamus hits Jimmy with white noise on the apron and Jey then hits Sheamus with a tope suicida, Butch then hits a moonsault to take out both Usos. Back in the ring Buch hits a tornado DDT and covers Jey for two. Butch hits a double foot stomp to the hands. Jimmy tags in and Butch sunset flips out of the corner and covers off the ensuing powerbomb for a two count. Sheamus tags in and Sheamus and Butch hit a double team razor’s edge into a neckbreaker combination and Butch covers for two. Sheamus goes for a white noise but Sami Zayn causes a distraction before Ridge Holland hits Zayn with a lariat. Solo Sikoa takes out Holland with a spinning solo outside the ring. Sheamus goes for a brogue kick but Jey counters with a superkick. Butch tags in and Jimmy makes the blind tag, The Usos hit Butch with 1D and Jimmy covers for three.

Back live with LA Knight in the ring, the crowd boos him which angers me, Knight calls the crowd puppets and calls out Bray Wyatt, saying he has struck fear into Wyatt. Knight says that he’s calling Wyatt’s bluff that it wasn’t him and Knight shows footage on the titantron. Knight points out footage of a mysterious masked figure in the background on multiple incidents of Knight being attacked. The footage glitches out and it turns into a video package with rapidly cut footage of various spooky related things and the occasional straight up picture and video of Wyatt himself. Knight says he’s seen all he needs to and he drops the mic and runs to the back.

Legado Del Fantasma vs The Viking Raiders
The match begins with Erik hitting Wilde with a shoulder tackle. Ivar tags in and hits a corner spear before tagging Erik back in who goes for a pop up powerbomb but Wilde counters with a huricanrana. The match is interrupted by Hit Row’s music hitting and B-Fab sitting on a chair at the top of the entrance ramp. Top Dolla and Ashante run in with chairs to take out The Viking Raiders and end the match in a no contest. Valhalla runs in and B-Fab runs in to hit a superkick. The segment ends with Hit Row standing tall in the ring.
We cut to LA Knight walking through the halls of the backstage area. Knight opens a door into his locker room where he finds a Bray Wyatt shirt hanging up. The lights cut out and Knight turns to see a masked figure standing there as we cut to commercial.

Back live with SmackDown World Cup winner Ricochet making his entrance. After Ricochet’s entrance Imperium make their entrance as we prepare for Gunther nd Ricochet to sign the contract for their upcoming Intercontinental Championship match.
WWE Official Adam Pearce is in the ring to make the contract signing official. Pearce is cut off on the mic by The New Day making their entrance. Woods apologizes for interrupting Pearce. Kingston says they know how contract signings goes, Gunther is going to get mad and all of Imperium is going to try and attack Ricochet but they won’t have any of that. Woods says they are here to support Ricochet. Gunther grabs the mic and tells Ricochet he took the title from him and he has beaten him before to prove he is unworthy of the Intercontinental title, Gunther says Imperium respects the sport and are professional wrestlers, not performers. Woods hears this and spins it into an “Imperium can’t perform” chant while letting Gunther know “there are pills for that” (I’ll take a sponsorship for whoever wants me to plug their pill). Eventually everything breaks down as Pearce calls out a ref and makes an impromptu six man tag match as Teddy Long holla hollas proudly from his living room.
The New Day & Ricochet vs Imperium
The match officially begins with Ricochet and Kaiser. Kaiser gets a head-scissors take down but Ricochet flips through to land on his feet. Ricochet tags Woods in who hits Kaiser with a drop kick. Woods hits a lariat and Vinci makes the blind tag and stomps Woods in the corner.

Back live with Vinci having Woods in a headlock. Woods goes for a lariat but Vinci counters it into a back breaker. Gunther tags in and hits a running splash. Kaiser tags into the match and locks Woods in an armbar. Kaiser hits a big shop in the corner. Kaiser lifts Woods to the top rope. Woods hits a headbutt to knock Kaiser down to the mat. Woods hits a missile dropkick and tags Kingston in and Vinci is also tagged in. Kingston hits a flying cross body. The fight spills outside where Gunther throws Kingston over the announce table.

The match continues live Kaiser having Kingston in a headlock. Ricochet and Gunther are both tagged in and Gunther hits a big boot. Ricochet rolls out of a power slam but is then hit with a big chop from Gunther. Kaiser tags in as Kingston does. Kaiser goes up top but is intercepted by Ricochet with a huricanrana. Ricochet tags in and hits a shooting star press and covers Kaiser for three.
Winners: The New Day & Ricochet

Liv Morgan & Tegan Nox vs Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler
The match begins with Baszler and Nox. Nox breaks free of a wrist lock with a slap and hits an arm drag take down. Nox hits a running splash in the corner. Rousey tags in and hits a judo throw and taunts Morgan in the corner ling enough for Nox to get a roll up for two. baszler tags in as Nox makes the tag to Morgan. Morgan hits a knee strike in the corner and follows with a missile drop kick from the middle rope. Baszler hits a German suplex. Raquel Rodriguez comes down the ramp as WWE officials try to prevent the injured Rodriguez from getting in the ring. Off the distraction Nox hits the shining wizard and Mrgan covers Baszler for three.

SmackDown returns for the special birthday celebration for Kurt Angle. Angle gets in the ring and thanks the crowd before being interrupted by Alpha Academy. Gable says Ange did not want them at his celebration because he was afraid of being upstaged by a true Olympic hero. Gable and Otis get in the ring Gable says Angle no longer has integrity, he lost his intensity, and if he has any intelligence left he will leave the ring now, and if he doesn’t, he might leave with another broken freakin neck. Angle leaves the ring and walks to the back, Angle says if they’re going to eat his birthday cake, they’ll need a lot of milk. Gable Stevenson rides out to the ring in a milk truck, Angle and Stevenson throw bottles of milk at Alpha Academy before Angle gets serious and breaks out the big hose and sprays Alpha Academy out of the ring with a giant milk hose like it’s 2001, SmackDown goes off the air with Angle celebrating his birthday with all the milk the Olympic hero can drink in his own home town of Pittsburgh.
