Matt Riddle teamed up with Elias to take the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from The Usos, but Solo Sikoa had other plans for him. The Street Champion sent The Original Bro out of the arena on a stretcher after the match this past Monday on Raw.

WWE provided a medical update on Matt Riddle during SmackDown this week. Michael Cole noted that Riddle suffered a trauma to the trachea and lost his voice due to the brutal attack by Sikoa. Cole further stated that Riddle is expected to be out of action for six weeks.

For those not in the know, Solo Sikoa laid out Riddle with a Samoan Spike after the tag title match on the December 5, 2022 episode of Raw. The Street Champion brutalized Riddle with a running hip attack as well.

Riddle was pulled from WWE live events in the wake of the brutal attack. It remains to be seen if The Original Bro is dealing with a legitimate injury or was written off WWE TV for other reasons.
