The merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery has been seen as a huge thing for a variety of reasons. So far, WarnerMedia has been quite satisfied with AEW’s performance on TNT and TBS. This includes AEW Dynamite’s performance this week.
As previously reported, the December 7th episode of AEW Dynamite brought an overnight average of 840,000 viewers, with a .29 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This was a noticeable down from last week’s show.
However, the ratings being down could be attributed to Spectrum cable issues, which have affected 30 million households. Dave Meltzer took to Twitter and revealed that Warner Bros Discovery were thrilled with the viewership this week.
TBS was thrilled. Not okay. Thrilled. Look at NHL average on sister station over prior four weeks and last night. You’ll see in black and white why they would be.
We will have to wait and see whether AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming will have a better time with ratings or not. For the time being, all fans can do is wait for next episode to find out.
